PEOPLE

Devender is a Fashion Design graduate of NIFT and a post graduate of London College of fashion, UK. His Graduate collection is part of the University of Arts archive and is being used by the university as a benchmark for its Masters Programme. Kharb has over 3 years of experience in academics and over 12 years work experience as a Buyer, merchandiser and designer of luxury fashion goods in Europe’s design houses and high street suppliers in South Asia. His work has been exhibited at trade fares and private events across Europe. He has been a design consultant to many international companies and chain of stores in UK. He Represented UK at Concours International des JeunesCreateurs de Mode (2004) Paris, France. He is also one of the founders and the creative head of ‘The Infusion Store’, an e-commerce platform for contemporary Asian fashion in Europe.

An Apparel Design graduate from NID, Ambika has been into academics for the last 20 years at NIFT Mumbai and Pearl Academy. A certified higher education from NTU and a certified virtual teacher from Laureate Universities, She is a recipient of an International award for her paper presented at IFFTI. Her designed Uniform is worn by Immigration Officers at the Indian International Airports. She recently concluded a Haryana craft survey report for the British Council. Her entry to WOW (world of wearable art) was presented in NZ. She collaboratively works with various craft clusters in creating innovative lifestyle products and apparels.

A post graduate in Textile design from NIFT Delhi, John has trained under textile experts from Royal College of Arts and Central St Martins. John has an experience of more than two and a half decades in the industry working with organizations like Oxfam, Anju Modi, Habitat UK, Ralph Lauren Home and Donna Karan NY among others. In addition to his love of Textiles John loves to delve into realms of Literature, Music and Art.

A graduate from NIFT - New Delhi, and a post graduate from Domus Academy- Milan, Atul has worked with various fashion brands before joining academics. He has been teaching for the last 7-8 years, also he has been sharing his professional experience with students in his unique way of learning by doing.


An alumnus of London College of Fashion and NIFT Mumbai with a Bachelors in Fashion Communication design and Master in Strategic Fashion Marketing (AR-VR) helped Sikandar in understanding the multidisciplinary approach to communication and marketing with Industry 4.0. He is well experienced in imagery production, social media design, and new media production. He worked as the digital marketing manager for Being Human, where he worked closely with varied advertising marketing agencies, design studios and headed the in-house design team. He has been an active part of 3 startups that dealt in multidisciplinary projects in e-commerce, non-tangible product/experience development, communication deliverables, UI/UX, and Branding. He has also worked as a consultant for varied brand communication and game design projects in Augmented/Virtual reality. The core field of work is experience design, photography, and AR/VR.

A gold medalist in Management Studies (MMS) from Pune University, Aparna has a diploma in Textile Design from Delhi Administration where she was the topper along with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Delhi University. She has been the Head designer at Vichitra sarees and has been associated with the Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India as a designer for development of the Handloom sector. Having worked extensively with prominent publishing houses, she has more than 50 Book covers of eminent authors to her credit. Before joining WUD she was the creative director at an IT MNC. Her first book on Indian Textile designs got published recently.

Parul completed her B.Tech from T.I.T & S, Bhiwani in Fashion & Apparel Technology and did her Masters in Fashion Technology (Strategy) from NIFT, New Delhi. She has five years of experience with design and buying houses like Creatnet Services, The Regalia and Sansara By Rashi Ghai. She has also worked on anMoRD project with the consultancy firm, Technopak Advisors for an year. She was conferred with "NIFT Best Academic Performance Award" for 2014. She is UGC-NET qualified and is currently working as an Assistant Professor in World University of Design, Sonipat, Haryana.

Umair Khan is an alumni of NIFT, Delhi from Clothing Production Technology Programme. He has a Diploma in Pattern Engineering from Tuka Academy of Pattern Engineering, Gurgaon and an M.Phil. from JNU, Jodhpur and an M.A. from D.B.R.A. University, Agra. Mr. Khan has over 11 years experience in teaching Pattern Making, Garment Construction and Pattern Making software at various premier institutes like NIFT, IICD, NIIFT, SoFD (GDGU) & AEPC. He also has a patent in his name.

Anshika is a graduate of Pushp Institute, MJPRU Bareilly and Masters from Lady Irwin College, University of Delhi in the field of Fabric and Apparel Science. She is a Gold Medalist in her bachelor degree and Silver Medalist in her Masters. Her dissertation on "Development of Mosquito Repellent Wet Wipes" was awarded as best under Student Project Competition.
Before joining WUD she was working with FMG Group of Institutions Greater Noida, AKTU as an Assistant Professor from last 3 three years.

An Alumni of National Institute of Fashion Technology, Delhi with a Masters from Indian Institute of Craft & Design, Jaipur, Satyam has been associated with the field of design for the last 10 years working for brands like Vero-Moda, Only, Vila, Tom Tailor etc., and for teaching with NIFT, Patna. Satyam considers himself a visual storyteller, has written a novel named ‘The other side of the moon’ based on his views on love and life, and another book on poetry.

A graduate of fashion communication from NIFT Kangra, Sonam has experience of working in the areas of graphic communication, infographics, branding and advertising for prestigious organisations including The Times of India and Burda International - the largest foreign magazine publisher in India.



Manasa has an Honors degree in Fashion Design from RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia. Her work experience ranges from business consultancy to government projects. She has also worked as a guest lecturer in NIFT, Woxsen, and other fashion colleges besides launching her own womenswear label, Jagiri, which centers around sustainability and handlooms.

Anushka Das is a Textile Design graduate from NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology), New Delhi with an experience of 12 years with the industry. She was associated with reputed designersNeerukumar and Ritukumar. Anushka started her label- AnushkaAnnasuya in the year 2010, a label contemporary Indian women that is sensitive towards maintaining a balance between Indian aesthetics and contemporary demands. She was associated to the prestigious brand Fabindia, designing and producing the women’s apparel line for them.

With a strength in Surface design-woven she has done various projects with Ministry of Textiles for the project “Revival of Kani shawls” and Ministry of minority affairs for Usttad Project, in Jodhpur And Luckhnow. She has been a regular jury member in NIFT Textile Department and a have been a member of committee for FP curriculum restructuring 2018 She likes to appreciate things handmade and constantly explore ways to make space for crafts in modern lives.

Sindhu is a graduate in Fashion Merchandising & Retail Management from FDDI and a Postgraduate in Fashion Management from NIFT Kolkata. She has worked in the industry and with several design institutions including LPU and NIFT. Her area of expertise is Visual Merchandising, Textiles Science, Retail Management, Fashion Merchandising, EXIM Documentation, and Intellectual Property Rights.
