HOSTEL FACILITIES

WUD’s hostels combine comfort, functionality, and safety with modern amenities and academic convenience. While the living arrangements are triple sharing mostly, the pathways to a strong security infrastructure, healthy dining, and supportive services make the residential experience enriching and supportive.

WUD provides a safe, comfortable, and contemporary residential experience through two distinct residential halls - KG Subramanyan Hall for boys and Pupul Jaykar Hall for girls, with a total of 1200 beds approx., each tailored for unique needs and experiences. Pupul Jaykar Hall houses the common facilities like the dining room, common room and the gym.

Room Types & Allocation

Students are typically allocated triple-sharing AC rooms with individual beds. A few twin-sharing and single sharing rooms are also available at additional cost. Rooms are air-conditioned, Wi-Fi enabled, and semi-furnished with essentials like beds, study tables, chairs, wardrobes, and typically include attached bathrooms with geysers.



Safety & Convenience

Hostels feature 24/7 security, CCTV surveillance, and controlled entry/exit.

Common areas include a gym, a recreation rooms (TV, indoor games, Wi-Fi), a vending machine, convenient tuck shops, dedicated laundry rooms, and a primary health care unit with a full-time nurse and a doctor on call.

Meals are prepared in a kitchen designed by Master Chef Shaju Zacharia, operated by reputed institutional caterers and offering hygienic, nutritious, and tasty food for students and staff.
