Yes. WUD has a dedicated Career Advisory & Alumni Services (CAAS) function that works with students throughout their academic journey to prepare them for internships, graduation projects, professional practice and employment.
Career preparation at WUD is not limited to inviting companies during the final semester. Students are progressively exposed to industry through live projects, professional interactions, portfolio development, internships, competitions, exhibitions, networking opportunities and graduation projects. CAAS supports this process by connecting students with relevant organisations, helping them understand professional expectations and preparing them for interviews, portfolios and career choices.
WUD's location in Delhi NCR and its continuing engagement with design, technology, fashion, architecture, media, arts and creative-industry networks provide students with access to a wide professional ecosystem.
As in all professional and creative disciplines, final outcomes depend upon the student's competence, portfolio, attitude, interests and the requirements of recruiting organisations. The University's role is to ensure that students receive the exposure, preparation and opportunities needed to make a strong transition from education to professional practice.

WUD students have undertaken internships, graduation projects and employment with organisations across a wide range of sectors including design, technology, UX, digital products, fashion, retail, automotive, animation and gaming, architecture, media, advertising, consulting, arts and other creative industries.
What is particularly important at WUD is the diversity of professional pathways. A graduating batch may therefore engage with established corporations, design consultancies, technology companies, fashion and lifestyle brands, architecture practices, media organisations, cultural institutions, start-ups and independent professional studios.

A WUD degree can lead to a much wider range of careers than the conventional titles of designer, artist or architect might suggest.
Depending upon the programme and specialisation, graduates may build careers in areas such as product and industrial design, UX and digital product design, communication and branding, animation, gaming and immersive media, fashion and lifestyle, transportation and mobility, interior and spatial design, architecture and the built environment, visual arts, performing arts, technology, creative business and management.
Increasingly, creative professionals also work in emerging areas such as AI-enabled design, experience design, service design, innovation, design research, sustainability, creative technology, cultural industries, entrepreneurship and consulting. Many graduates may begin their careers in specialist roles and progressively move into positions involving team leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, creative direction and design leadership.
WUD's multidisciplinary environment is intended to prepare students not only for the jobs that exist today, but also for new creative professions that are continuing to emerge at the intersection of design, technology, business and society.
