Yes. It is quite normal for students entering creative education to be uncertain about the differences between Product Design, UX, Communication Design, Animation & Game Design, Fashion, Transportation Design, Interior Architecture and other specialisations. WUD's admission and academic teams can help applicants understand the nature of different disciplines and relate them to their interests, abilities and career aspirations. Applicants are encouraged to use the admission interaction as an opportunity for career counselling rather than simply selecting a programme by name. Even if you realize at a later date that the specialization you chose is not for you, WUD allows you to move to another one after the first year, which is the common foundation year.

Not necessarily. Drawing can be useful in many creative disciplines, but design aptitude is much broader. WUD looks for curiosity, observation, imagination, problem-solving ability, communication and the ability to develop ideas. Different design disciplines require different combinations of skills.

Yes, science students can take admission to any program of choice subject to the other eligibility requirements. Creative careers increasingly bring together art, design, science, technology and business, and students from diverse academic backgrounds study at WUD.

Yes. WUD's academic portfolio increasingly brings together design and emerging technology. All UG/PG programmes at WUD engage with areas such as AI, digital experiences, intelligent systems and emerging media.

Education at WUD has been AI-enabled and integrated across all WUD programmes since 2019. Students are exposed, as relevant to their disciplines, to emerging AI tools and their applications in research, ideation, visualisation, communication, prototyping and creative workflows. The emphasis is on using AI intelligently and responsibly as an extension of human creativity rather than as a substitute for creative thinking.
