Open Access Policy
JAARD is an open-access journal. Published articles are made freely available online immediately upon publication, without subscription or access charges to readers.
The journal supports the dissemination and exchange of scholarly knowledge by allowing its published research to be accessed internationally without financial barriers.

Copyright
Authors publishing in JAARD retain copyright in their work and grant the journal the right of first publication. Published articles are made available under the Creative Commons licence specified by the journal. Current licence: Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0).
Under this licence, material may be shared and adapted subject to the conditions of attribution and share-alike prescribed by the licence.
Authors may enter into separate non-exclusive arrangements for distribution of the published work, including deposit in institutional repositories or subsequent inclusion in another work, provided its original publication in JAARD is acknowledged.

Author Sharing and Posting
Before Acceptance
Authors may post the submitted manuscript or preprint on:
 their personal website;
 their institution’s website or repository;
 a funder’s repository where required; or
 platforms used for legitimate educational purposes.
Where a manuscript submitted to JAARD is publicly posted, authors should identify it as a manuscript submitted to the International Journal of Arts Architecture & Design.

After Acceptance
Authors may update a previously posted manuscript to reflect its accepted status in accordance with the journal’s posting policy.

After Publication
Once the article has been published, publicly available versions should include the full citation and DOI of the Version of Record published by JAARD.
