Nilanshi Rastogi a fashion design graduate from WUD with a focus on sustainability, who likes to keep an ear to the ground to understand the latest trends, in vogue color palettes and all general information creating a trail blaze in the Industry. She advocates the notion of sustainability and utilizes waste fabrics to make garments that are unique and contemporary. Her passion coupled with an inherent industrious streak prods her towards doing a meticulous and commendable job.
GRADUATION PROJECT– My Graduation Project is for “Safura Clothing” one of the main vendors for the very popular brand FABINDIA as part of my coursework requirement. The collection comprises of Women’s wear which although are Indian in design but with a twist of western cut and silhouettes. The uniqueness of the collection is the use of chikankari- the embroidery of royal lineage of luckhnow. The ensembles are different than truly traditional Indian wear due to the interplay of styling collars, sleeves and overall detailing.
