Ritika Chaudhary is a design graduate from the school of fashion, World university of Design. She thrives on challenges and is ambitious. Her love for different textiles and fabrics is evident in her assemblage of swatches collected over the entire duration of her coursework at WUD. She did a well documented research on the “Dabu” print technique. Her interest extends to aesthetics of interior design as well.
“Phulbari” is the name of her project that she created as part of her graduation coursework. The inspiration is derived from how the old world charm and rustic beauty of some things are a treat to all our senses. Phulbari is a collection made of breathable cottons, cambric and khadi fabric which are fresh and comfortable. The garments are casual wear with floral prints and embroideries which denote nature in its first fertile bloomkeeping in mind the sensibilities of an Indian summer.
