I Manish Patwal am a design graduate from World University of Design. I hail from Dehradun nestled among the hills of Dev Bhumi Uttarakhand and that essence of nature and tranquility is what inspires me. My skills set include Draping, surface ornamentation and styling.
This season Spring Summer 2020 collection “Melding Nakışa’’ interprets Turkish Moroccan with touch of Kutch with easy to wear silhouettes. The embroidery is rich and inspired from Kutch. Collection is set on the palette of the darkest and brightest summer colors and paired with bursts of color blocking. Light weight fabrics like cotton, chanderi and silks are used to make flowy garments. The collection is handwork- intensive and each garment is unique through the integration of upcycled and recycled fabrics. The mix and match approach is visible in the manner that the garments are created. The blend of intricate embroideries of Kutch, inclusion of metallic beads, threads and hand detailing completes the collection.
