My name is Priyanshi Thakur and I come from the Land of the Gods – Himachal Pradesh. My works represent the juxtaposition of the descriptive richness of everyday materials in such a way that it seems they are one as a whole, containing an aesthetic formality of the beauty the female body possesses.

My insights in art are supported by a cross disciplinary practice and I discover that my work in one discipline influences my work and process in another, that is why every other medium helps me to explore the emotional and psychological links between them. I have combined different materials such as coffee, text, cloth etc. to act as a means of communicating things the female body has no other way of conveying. I would love to see all women have a positive body image and fashion themselves into a powerful effective whole being, to come at life from a place of strength.
