I design to hold meaning. I work with textiles as a medium of thought, where material, memory, and
culture intersect. My practice is rooted in observing what is often overlooked and translating it into surfaces that feel intentional
and layered rather than immediate or obvious.

I am drawn to processes that require time and sensitivity. Through eco-printing, embroidery, watercolor, and digital construction,
I build work that evolves through layering, each stage adding depth, not noise. I use traditional crafts and contemporary design to
question how textiles can exist today without losing their origin.
My approach is not about creating more, it is about creating with clarity. Every decision, from concept to execution, is deliberate.
I focus on how a piece is formed, how it communicates, and what it carries beyond its function.
I see textiles as quiet carriers of stories, subtle, but persistent.

Graduation Project

This project explores the development of a Spring/Summer 2027 home textile collection, focusing on reinterpreting
regional narratives into modern, functional design. Drawing from architecture, everyday visual elements, and
natural forms, the collection builds a language of layered surfaces that feel both rooted and relevant.

Combining hand processes with digital refinement, the approach emphasizes depth through composition, scale, and
material sensitivity. The designs evolve through controlled repetition, subtle detailing, and a palette that reflects
seasonal lightness while retaining warmth.

The outcome is a cohesive range of soft furnishings designed to exist both as individual statements and as part of a
larger interior story.

A collection where tradition is not preserved-it is reworked, rebalanced, and made to live in the present.

School of Fashion (bachelors) : S Karunya My Portfolio : Click here I don’t design to decorate.
