The title signifies the beloved’s journey toward her lover, unfolding as an inner pilgrimage shaped by longing. It begins with the first stirrings of desire for union, followed by contemplation, remembrance, and the repeated evocation of the beloved’s virtues. Gradually, it moves into detachment from the world, lamentation, and emotional unrest born of unfulfilled desire. The body weakens under the strain of longing, giving way to agitation, madness, and eventual collapse, where only breath remains as witness to separation. In its final movement, the self dissolves completely into love. Abhisar reflects love’s power to transform, unmake, and remake the one who experiences it fully.

School of Performing Arts (masters): Sanjana Kumar Sanjana, born and raised in Delhi, has engaged with dance from an early age, developing it as a primary mode of expression.
