Graduation Project

Project Title – Navārcanā (नवाच'ना)
Project Sponsor - LASYAAYAN

Navārcanā (नवाच'ना) is a choreographic confluence of two sacred traditions- Navasandhi and Mangalacharan-rooted in Hindu temple rituals and Odissi dance. This performance reimagines spiritual invocations through movement, music, and spatial alignment. By invoking the nine directional deities with traditional hastas, ragas, and temple geometry, Navārcanā transforms the stage into a sacred mandala, merging devotion and aesthetics. It is a revivalist offering that bridges the spiritual depth of ancient rituals with contemporary expression.
