Himanshu Kumar is from Patna, Bihar. He is pursuing his master's degree from the World University of Design in music. He is a tabla player, percussionist, and guitar player. He completed his six-year Prabhakar degree in tabla from Prayag Sangeet Samiti. In addition to his studies, he often participates in local performances.

Project Title – Rhythmic journey from Indian to western beats

He is presenting a project in which he is representing how the beats are same in Indian and Western percussion instruments. Just the pattern of playing changes; he is showcasing two prominent instruments. One tabla from the Indian classical side and one cajon from the Western percussion instrument. By comparing the rhythmic structures and techniques used in both instruments, it will highlight the unique aspects that each instrument contributes to its musical heritage in addition to showing its similarities.
